The full form of CSAT is the Civil Services Aptitude Test. It was introduced in the year 2011 as a part of the UPSC Civil Services Exam (Preliminary) to test the analytical skills, reasoning ability and aptitude of IAS aspirants.
Candidate must have passed bachelor’s degree (in any discipline) or equivalent qualification from any recognized University up to the last date of application receipt. Specific qualification is required for some posts. Detailed information on the same can be checked in the official notification.

The test will check the candidate’s general awareness, character, intelligence, expression, and general suitability for the post. It will be of a maximum of 275 marks.
